I've searched for the original CD of this release, and can't find it for less than $100! This is one case where it really pays to buy an entire album off of iTunes.
This live recording replaces the precision that the Carnegie Hall album has with energy and a better sounding recording. I grew up listening to the Carnegie Hall album, and still enjoy it, but the Japan album is more enjoyable. This is a MUST HAVE for any fan of Chicago's origi

This recording is molten, and worth every penny. Considering that people have been dropping hundreds for this album in the past, this is a complete steal. Anyone who is into early (hairy) Chicago has no excuse not to buy this. All of you whiners who hate the ballad years, the disco years, and the Scheff years have nothing to worry about. This is pure unsucky gold.
