cleopatra's mom? (5 stars)
I've heard isis is the name of cleopatra's mother..not sure, but what a great song! there's a classic video out there called the rolling thunder revue..dylan at his craziest, and best. also, romance in durango is a great song, but find a live version to hear him truly rock it. love countrified dylan, and this album is among the best in his catalog..there's a rare album called dylan (not the new one) that has covers of sara jane, and lily

What Happened? (5 stars)
Desire and Blood on the Tracks were some of the most haunting and inspirational music ever. From the depth of his lyric, to the violins, to the words. I just wanted more of this…More albums in this same style…

really good (4 stars)
Desire is an album that showcases Dylan's vocals considering what people may think. Hurricane deserves it's recognition and Isis as well. Not his greatest but really good.

Biography

Born: May 24, 1941 in Duluth, MN
Genre: Rock
Years Active: '60s, '70s, '80s, '90s, '00s, '10s

Bob Dylan's influence on popular music is incalculable. As a songwriter, he pioneered several different schools of pop songwriting, from confessional singer/songwriter to winding, hallucinatory, stream-of-consciousness narratives. As a vocalist, he broke down the notion that a singer must have a conventionally good voice in order to perform, thereby redefining the vocalist's role in popular music. As a musician, he sparked several genres of pop music, including electrified folk-rock and country-rock….

Our Review

Culled from tapes of a sold-out three night stand at New York City’s Madison Square Garden in July 1973, The Song Remains the Same captures Led Zeppelin at a turning point in their career. Their stardom assured, their legend growing, the four members were accepting their roles as rock gods and indulging themselves and their fans with whatever tickled their fancy. Every major (and minor) band in the 1970s made a live album. So, “Dazed and Confused” transforms into a half-hour odyssey. “Stairway to Heaven” takes on the significance of a national anthem, and with the improved amplification of the 1970s, the band’s sound expands to grandiose proportions. It doesn’t seem possible that three instrumentalists and a singer could command this much power. But listen to the intricate bluesy weave of “Since I’ve Been Loving You,” one of six highlights added to the 2007 expanded edition of this now classic double-live album originally issued in 1976, and you’ll hear the largest sounding power trio in the music business. The band is slightly ragged throughout. Personal and musical excesses will do that. However, with a catalog this strong, Led Zeppelin moved into prime position to become among the decade’s most important musical voices.

Finally….As it should be. (5 stars)
Finally, with missing songs added, awsome sound….This has been worth the wait. Not being a hardcore Zep fan back in the day, I'm learing to love them 30 years later. If you have to own just one or two cd's of theirs, this is a good one. Live, loud & long (Dazed & Confused clocks in at 1/2 hour!). Still, for those of us who were in our teens back then, this is kind of like looking through your highschool yearbook. Conversely,

I can't believe that nobody has pointed this out yet… (5 stars)
Most of the performances on this new edition are different (came from a different night than those on the original version –There were 3 nights at Madison Square Garden).
So, hold on to you old copy if you loved the original album note-for-note.
For those fans that only purchased the 6 unreleased songs here on iTunes, you are missing out on something here. For example: Ever notice that the version of "No Quarter" on the movie is

It's Worth It!!! A+++++++ (5 stars)
I have had the analog copy since day one. I compared it with the remastered over and over again it does sound better. By the way if you have not picked up the DVD, DO IT. Awesome audio and video quality. I have compared the studio tracks to ones I have. I can tell a slight difference, especially with the older stuff. The early stuff I can tell a small difference, can't decide if it's worth it yet. But the live recordings are a good bu

Biography

Led Zeppelin was the definitive heavy metal band. It wasn't just their crushingly loud interpretation of the blues — it was how they incorporated mythology, mysticism, and a variety of other genres (most notably world music and British folk) — into their sound. Led Zeppelin had mystique. They rarely gave interviews, since the music press detested the band. Consequently, the only connection the audience had with the band was through the records and the concerts. More than any other band,…

Too bad Steve Perry is their legacy. (4 stars)
Long before the commercial tripe, Journey made a enduring statement for progressive rock. This second of three seminal albums serves to remind us that Journey used to be a great band. Neal's guitar work is astounding and the tunes with Greg singing were super. Whoever changed this lineup was definitely shortsighted and shallow.

look into the future (4 stars)
The first two albums by these guys didn't make the money that defined their careers, but there is some really great music here. I heartily recommend buying the album, but if that's too much, then spend a buck to buy "It's All Too Much". Neal Schon's solo roughly 90 seconds into the song is one of the best pieces of guitar work I have ever heard. 30 years later it's still a place holder for me among the all time great "dump th

Amazing Work (5 stars)
Wow, the musicianship in this album is incredible. Many Journey fans may say that its not as good without Steve, but if you look past that and take time to listen to the album, it is truely great work. I would recommend it to any fan of rock in general.

Biography

During their initial 14 years of existence (1973-1987), Journey altered their musical approach and their personnel extensively while becoming a top touring and recording band. The only constant factor was guitarist Neal Schon (born February 27, 1954), a music prodigy who had been a member of Santana in 1971-1972. The original unit, which was named in a contest on KSAN-FM in San Francisco, featured Schon, bassist Ross Valory, drummer Prairie Prince (replaced by Aynsley Dunbar), and guitarist George…
